I have been experiencing an odd occurrence for approximately the past 18 months. It started off somewhat slow but has progressively become more frequent to where it happens almost every day. At random times, I will happen to look at the clock, or at some other screen, paper and I keep coming across the number, 11 11.
Usually, this occurrence occurs with the clock where I happen to look at the clock on my computer, alarm clock, cable tv box, microwave, etc. precisely at 11:11. So what you may ask, big deal? I didn’t think much of it at first but I started noticing it happening more and more to where it seems highly improbable that it is just a random chance coincidence.
According to a variety of sources, the Mayan Calendar Long Count cycle ends on December 21, 2012 at 11:11 am universal time. When this phenomena first started, I thought about this time relating to the end date. Again, I didn’t think too much about it, but after a few months of it increasing in frequency I started to feel that something strange is occurring and it relates to the 2012 end date and time of the Long Count.
I started researching the topic somewhat and I discovered that this experience is happening to millions of people around the world! A book (shown below) was recently published about this specific experience I am describing.
I am highly interested in what other people think about this. Especially comments from anyone else experiencing this or similar phenomena. I have no idea what it means but I do feel it has something to do with 2012. Please submit your comments.
This is definitely one of the better books on the market concerning 2012. The author, Alexandra Bruce has a great writing style as she objectively explores the 2012 topic. She has interviewed a number of experts on the topic and the book covers a wide variety of theories and speculation on the 2012 end date.
The book covers ancient history and discusses the various legends of world ages across multiple cultures, not just the Maya. Each chapter is packed with information which at times, makes you want more detail but overall, this book can serve as an excellent reference guide for anyone that is wanting to explore the 2012 topic.
This book explores how religious fundamentalism within the three Abrahamic religions are steering the world into an apocalyptic event. The author makes many good points to support his case and he puts forth reason when examining various scriptures. However, it would be good if he explored other belief systems and how they could be pushing the planet towards an end-time scenario. For example, various occult beliefs and he fails to mention that many people in power are avid occultists. For the most part a decent book but somewhat one-sided.
Note: the publisher sent a copy of this book for review.
The biggest disappointment with this book is how the authors capitalize on the 2012 movement to sell a book that is just a collection of articles on a variety of subjects. However, there are a few good articles in the book which is why I give it a two out of five stars rather than a one. I do not recommend buying this book. If you’re in the bookstore, look through it first and read an article that stands out.
This is a somewhat interesting book. What I found most intriguing was the journey into the author’s psyche rather than the information on 2012 itself. There are numerous stories regarding drug induced altered states for spiritual purposes. Out of this comes some interesting observations and also some humorous tidbits. The author’s stories depict a man struggling with responsibility in life and pursing shamanistic methods for self-fulfillment. Throughout the book, it carries a tone of self-indulgent, intellectual babble that gets old but nonetheless, there are some decent highlights. I do not recommend starting with this book but if you have already read some books on 2012, it could be an interesting read. However, I do not find this a serious book on 2012 prophecy.
This is an excellent book that presents information in a clear, logical and easy to understand manner. It reads like a text book which is why it is easy to absorb the information. There are many high quality images throughout the book which adds to the value of the information presented. This is a great book to start the exploration of the 2012 topic.

The blockbuster movie 2012 lived up to the hype of an epic disaster film. Surprisingly, the movie is entertaining with decent acting and only hints of corny dialogue. Of course it was filled with unbelievable escape-from-disaster sequences but what else can you expect from a blockbuster movie.
For those interested in the Mayan prophecies and theories about 2012, you will be disappointed as the movie only briefly touches upon the subject. A quick synopsis of the cause of the world cataclysm is presented with only a couple of references to the Mayan calendar prophecies. But in the end, it is still an entertaining movie with incredible special effects.
The blockbuster film 2012 opened yesterday on Friday the 13th (interesting release date, quite humorous actually). Preceding the release of this film, interest in the Mayan calendar end date has been increasing dramatically. Now it is exploding. Below is a graph from Google Trends showing the rising increase of searches for 2012 prophecy.
As we move closer and closer to December 21, 2012, I predict interest and media coverage (mainstream and non-mainstream) on the Mayan Calendar prophecies as well as New World Order topics to rise exponentially.
