Does all the Wild Weather Have you Thinking About 2012?

The recent weather events in the midwest of America have been devastating. So far this year, the world has experienced two major earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan, two occurrences of destructive tornadoes, damaging floods and a spat of volcanoes with the most recent being the Icelandic eruption.

Do these events have you wondering about 2012? I hope this post initiates some interesting discussion among visitors. There will be arguments on both sides of the fence no doubt and I’m sure some alternative views such as H.A.R.P. being the cause of all this damage.

Regardless of your opinion, 2012, climate change, H.A.R.P. or some other view, extreme weather seems to be occurring more frequently. And whatever the cause is, it doesn’t hurt to be prepared. Water, storable food, first-aid kits and other survival gear are important considerations.

So what’s your opinion? Is the wild weather leading up to a 2012 event or not? Static your opinion and invite others to the conversation.

A dozen of books use climate change as one of the sings (www.wonderfulsoul.com/prophesies-reviews), however, history shows many similar periods. Is it more the fear of unknown that bother us?

I am really into prophecy; especially biblical prophecy. In my opinion, yes all of the things we are seeing are signs that our world is coming to an end as we know it. Our live styles will be changed within the next 10 to 20 years. There are many factors working together leading up to the Rapture of the Church and the Tribulation. But some would argue that the Church will not be rapture. I am a Christian; so to be fair and honest I have no clue to if or when the True believers will be rapture. The Lord may come and find no one worth of being rapture, because we have lost our faith in Him or we have put our faith in too many other things. I believe that these are the signs of the time we live in. The next 20 years will be very eventful. Do I believe our world will come to an end on 12/21/2012? No. There is still some biblical prophecy that has yet to be fulfilled before the world comes to its complete end. Could the church be rapture on that date? Possible. But then the church could rapture at any second, no Christian really knows. So if a Christian is date setting then you really should not listen to that rambling. Just know that Christ will return, and that you can ask for forgiveness of your sins and you can repent and turn to Jesus for everlasting life. Hey, you can even wait until the last minute, though it may not do you any good since no one really knows when that last minute will occur.

I have an interest in prophecy and have attempted to “wrap my head around it” so to speak. The book of Revelation is a dream, and must be treated as such. There are calamities described in Revelation the world is familiar with, but most people miss the details and the nuances that make it unique. We have experienced earthquakes and lightnings, but not together. That is a specific event. (The question is what would cause that? A comet?) We have had Tsunamis/swelling and polluted rivers, but not at the same time until Katrina. Also, from what I can see, the events described in Revelation have global implications, not global impact. For example, the Conquerer Horse could be representative of Communism. “A day’s wage for a bag of bread” was a headline in Newsweek May 2007 regarding famine in Africa and the effect of ethanol on corn prices and other grains: “$6 for a Loaf of Bread.” Although these things are not happening world-wide, it is happening already. Chapter 9 speaks of a plaque caused by the fire from the mouths of mechanical horses (cars), smoke from the tail iron grasshoppers (airplanes), and soot from the furnace of the bottomless pit (fossil fuel energy). We are at Chapter 9 already! But, there is good news. I’m pretty sure the bible also says that prophecy will fail, and every chapter of Revelation offers men an opportunity to repent from intentionally destroying the Earth and its people.

I have to say that both of the above readings are very well spoken. Do I believe that the world is soon coming to an end, Yes. Do I know when, No. There is only one person and they are greater than us who knows this information, That is JESUS Christ our Saviour. I am a firm believer in my savior. I do not believe that there is a date anywhere written that says that the world will end on a certain date (12/12/2012). All of the finer things that we use today to make our lives easier; cars, airplanes, computers, these are all things that in the beginning we were told after Adam and Eve ate the Apple once humans became smarter and more technologically advanced we would see this happen. We have became wiser because of a sin that was committed long ago. Do, I feel that this may be true, DEFINITELY, because if it weren’t why would technology be changing so quickly, as a matter of fact it is changing too quickly and we need to slow it down. We were supposed to be blinded to the fact that we were naked but Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and realized that they were naked because the serpent told them they were. I was once told that The tree of Knowledge of good and evil was actually a one eyed snake that pleased Eve and Eve showed Adam how to be pleased and that is why they were open eyed to the fact that they were naked, not because of an apple. If anyone understands this story please let me know by leaving a reply.

There is absolutely no reason to believe that this “wild weather” indicates impending global catastrophe of some sort.

Even if we are to assume that the Mayan calendar holds any credence. There is absolutely nothing within the Mayan calendar that suggests “wild weather” is a precursor to global change.

Further, from a biblical perspective (even if we are to assume the dispensational opinion) there is absolutely no reason to believe “wild weather” points to the biblical Armageddon.

As long as humans have been roaming this earth, weather has been unpredictable and dynamic. It has not yet, up to this point, led to the end of the world.

What about all the blackbirds falling out of the sky in different states and 100,000′s of fish washing up on the shore from the mississippi river and the record heat waves up north in the us?? And so much more…record hitting storms this year. And can we explain it? No…i think the end is near and its going to get worse before it gets better. Just my thoughts.

I have written a metaphsyical book, “The Constellation of Omens,” which is about the end times and salvation, including disasters such as drastic weather changes. It is well worth looking into.

All my life I have felt that I would be around to see the end of the world as we know it. When in church and the pastor would preach about the rapture I knew I would be left hear to rebuild. I don’t know if 2012 is the year…. I don’t believe we will know the day or the hour the bible says we will not know. But I do think that if you are watching and listening you will know the time. I do believe the time is near and it is time to prepare. It is never a bad idea to have some extra food and water on hand, to have a survival plan and to be prepared. The bible says it will be like it was in the days of Noah I don’t know what those days were like but I do know what is going on in the world today is not good.

Wow, I’m actually a part of a music video team called Sentient Productions and we made a music video about this topic. It’s called the “End of Dayz”. I would really appreciate it if I got some feedback, whether positive or negative.

Let bring some old memory: in ’08 when Paulson drew drew the line and stopped talking then declared “In the event they refuses to vote in favor of this bailout, the economy will crash?” And the funny part, that was the ticket for the market to tumble when Congress refused to play along. The presidend attempted a similar strategy last week with his threat of a Sunday deadline but the Republicans didn’t think much and swiped his bluff. It will probably not be the same if this last time limit is not respected.

  10. I believe that humans are just seeing the natural cycles of the earths progression. 65 million years ago a comet took out most life on this planet. 350 million years ago the same thing happened. We are here to grow, and learn in GODS world. We are being tested in our daily lives with all of the “peaks and valleys” life throws at us. Sometimes, life is so grand that you can’t imagine that this world has to have a loving GOD, and sometimes things get so bad you can’t imagine that this world has a purpose. I myself, have seen the best, and the worst life, has to offer and I know there’s something more. The weather will become worse and worse, until there’s so much destruction, that we will no longer be able to keep our society together. At least the society that will live in now. I’m 42 married, with two awesome sons (ages8 and 10). I started my own business, five years ago, to give them some future they can count on. I love this great country. I hope whoever has the keys to the White house realize that we are all in this together! We are all HUMANS! As the storms, and damage get worse, open your doors to your neighbors, and strangers in need! That is truly what GOD expects from us! If your home is still standing take in your brothers and sisters in need because that’s all your bringing with you when we leave this amazing planet that GOD created. Peace.
